Crack the code to distractions....
Today I'm going to cover personal distractions, so as promised let's get to it.....
There's something called urge surfing π♀️ π yes it exists in all of us let me explain further cos knowledge is power and when you give your mind the scope to understand and put a label to an issue, working on it becomes natural, you will see for yourself, so back to urge surfing, definition:
Urge surfing refers to a mental technique of observing an urge without engaging in it
How is this technique a secret to conquering personal distractions let me explain further:
For example your on social media browsing through your feeds, this can make you feel a certain type of way, but it can be controlled and put back into its place by adapting the urge surfing technique,
So how do you apply urge surfing technique π€ π that is easy......learn to sit with your feelings, if you feeling like shit, sit with it, cos what is gonna happen by sitting with it? Absolutely nothing! Life will still happen regardless of how you feel, so pay attention to what is holding you back, the types of distractions your entertaining and if it really is worth your time, if you want to break the chains of your limited mind then you need to put in the effort to accommodate the transition....
Let's go deeper, when you start to entertain people's complaints, opinions of you, gossip or whatever time wasting activities we do in this day and age you lose your focus, your thinking becomes foggy and you become the crowd that you keep, then you start wondering why your not making it in your life, but the wondering won't make anything happen for you, action will, so start taking inventory of what distractions are holding you back on a personal level, it could be habits or too much social media, wasting your money, or people! If you don't take inventory and become stingy with how you entertain distractions you will fall back and as I always say the catch up is harder, time is no one's friend!
Start limiting these time wasting activities and invest your personal time on improving your own life, these distractions that you follow so much won't be there when you are in a dark place and distractions won't empower or grow you, the goal is to conquer your mind and if you can conquer your mind you can live a life that is aligned with God's way, the right way, and the way that is going to bring out your truest form.....
Guys please make a commitment to yourself to apply rules in your life, rules that break conformity and follow morality, that is the only way you will open yourself up to healing, in whatever you are going through, to new ways of thinking, and in breaking the chains to being asleep for so long.
